What does an hourly consultation look like?

Most consultations take place over the phone and are focused on three things.

  • What you’re doing now

  • What you want your farm-life to look like

  • Strategies to get you to your dream farm-life.

This discussion takes place organically and is driven by your personal pain-points. It may focus on anything, from:

  • Selecting the right livestock, crop etc.

  • Finding balance/support in your operation

  • Building a stronger customer basis

  • Marketing

  • and too many more to list

My goal is to leave a consultation with you feeling confident you have a direction of at least one step to move your farm forward, if not many steps to get you where you’re going.

what is your background in farming?

I began farming over a decade ago with two steers, no formal agriculture background, and a clear goal: to build a direct-to-consumer farm business from the ground up. With no start-up capital to fall back on, I learned quickly, and often the hard way, that successful farming requires far more than what books and workshops can teach.

Through years of hands-on experience, I came to understand that farming is shaped not only by weather, livestock, and markets, but also by the farmer behind the operation. Your strengths, capacity, values, and life circumstances play a critical role in whether a farm is sustainable, financially and personally.

In 2022, my life shifted in a way that prompted me to intentionally scale back my own farm operation. Today, I maintain a small number of livestock and have expanded into hosting, events, and hospitality, while redirecting my professional focus toward supporting others who are building farms and farm-based businesses.

With a background rooted in real-world farming, small business experience, and design-driven thinking, I now work with farmers to help them build operations that are practical, resilient, and aligned with the lives they want to live. My work is grounded in experience, clarity, and respect for the complexity of both farming and people.

I don’t offer quick fixes or one-size-fits-all advice. I help farmers think strategically, make informed decisions, and build farms that work, not just in theory, but in real life.

Life changed dramatically for me in 2022 and since then I’ve significantly scaled-back my operation to only a few livestock and refocused my energy into hosting Airbnb and events. I’ve maintained a handful of my favorite animals I just couldn’t part with, and have redirected my life to help others pursuing their passion of farming.

What does weekly/monthly mentorship look like?

Think about having a business partner that doesn’t steal any of your profits (insert winky-face). If you’re looking for support in the beginning stages of your farm, are looking to redirect an existing operation, or are drowning in the daily list of things to do with no direction on where you’re going; that is what I want to help you with.
